The long awaited third album from Rick Ross entitled Deeper Than Rap, is set to hit stores April 21, 2009. "The Boss", no longer under Slip-n-Slide Records, will now release this album under his new label Maybach Music Group/Def Jam after the well known feud between he and 50 cent. Many fans anticipate how Rick Ross would respond with this upcoming project.
The album has 14 tracks which have guest appearances by some of the hip-hop industries' biggest stars from Nas to The-Dream to Kanye West to Trina...AND OF COURSE Weezy F. Baby...(and yeah we said da Baby) no homo...Lol. Production was done by The Runners, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, The Inkredibles and many more.

Ross creates the lavish mood with the help of the Grammy award winning production team J.U.S.T.I.C.E League. In my eyes, expectations are high coming into his third album. Ross's newest single "Magnificent" feat. John Legend prepares fans for this must hear album. A potential song of the year nominee, Maybach Music 2 feat. Kanye, T-Pain, & Lil Wayne, brings back the lost art of "live" music production to the hip-hop genre. "Deeper Than Rap" is on track to being on of the top hip-hop albums of '09

I was very impressed with Rick Ross' new album Deeper Than Rap. For the most part the album had my attention from beginning to end, but there were some down moments for me (content: Robin Thicke, Foxy Brown, Trina tracks- Hint Hint!!). I believe this was one of the best albums (PRODUCTION WISE) I've heard since Jay-Z's The Blueprint. Lyrics could have been a little better from Ross but I've noticed some improvement with him lyrically. Definite must hear tracks are Maybach Music Part 2 ft. Kanye, T-Pain, & Lil Wayne and my favorite...Yacht Club ft. Magazeen.
